About Bill   

Author of The Accidental Caretaker

Bill Dillard is CEO of Silver Dog Ventures, LLC, a company originally
founded to provide small business consulting services.   His previous
career experience spans thirty years in high technology roles of sales management, sales, marketing, information systems design & development with computer and telecommunications hardware, software, and services.  His industry experience includes Healthcare,
K-12 & Higher Education, Non-Profit, Government and others.

A U.S. Air Force Veteran, he earned his computer engineering degree while serving on active duty.  Born and raised in North Carolina, he lived and worked in metro Atlanta from 1982 until 2008.

His recent book The Accidental Caretaker: Battling Cancer for a Loved One and Your Life! is a unique, empowering, and often humorous story about the journey of caring for a loved one with cancer, then for yourself.

Bill unexpectedly became an 'Accidental Caretaker' the day his wife was diagnosed with Stage IV Gastric cancer.  Months later, he too was diagnosed with cancer, leading him to the challenge of caring not only for his dying wife, but also for himself.
